- Complete assessments for mould, indoor air quality (IAQ), designated substances and other hazardous materials.
- Conduct interviews with clients regarding building history and site-specific client concerns.
- Perform inspections and evaluate building systems.
- Assess building damages related to floods, water losses, smoke, and fire.
- Assist clients following flood and loss emergencies to get buildings dried, cleaned, or remediated and operational.
- Collect a variety of air and bulk (mould, asbestos, lead, dust, bacteria, etc.) samples.
- Interpret laboratory results.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting findings and provide recommendations to address concerns.
- Inspect abatement and restoration contractors undertaking mould, asbestos and other hazardous materials remediation work to document that the work has been properly completed.
- College diploma in Construction or Architectural Technology, or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
- Post-graduate environmental management certificate or equivalent would be an asset.
- 1-2 years of experience with IEQ work preferred.
- Consulting industry experience preferred.
- Experience with building construction or maintenance is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license, insurance and a personal vehicle required.
- Availability to travel to clients' sites (primarily within the GTA).
- Availability to work outside of core business hours (occasional evening and weekends).
