    Description

    Senior [10+ years] Application Support Specialist with a strong background in application and server management, capable of working effectively with vendors, system administrators, and application owners to ensure smooth and efficient IT operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with vendors and our sysadmin team to troubleshoot and resolve application and server issues.
    • Manage and respond to Service Manager tickets assigned to your group, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
    • Develop and maintain custom scripts for data collection, and provide ongoing support for these scripts.
    • Perform routine application monitoring and make necessary updates to application run books.
    • Work closely with North Bound Interface (NBI) Application Owners to provide support and troubleshoot NBI-related issues.
    • Initiate and manage trouble tickets with vendors for bug management and track resolution progress.
    • Assist in change management processes, including application patches, upgrades, and other maintenance activities.
    • Participate in projects involving the introduction of new applications, ensuring smooth integration and functionality.
    • Serve as an Application Subject Matter Expert (SME), assisting with requirements building and test plan development.
    • Coordinate with various internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful deployment and commissioning of new technologies and systems.

    Qualifications:

    • 10 + years as an Application Support Specialist with proven experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
    • Strong understanding of application and server management, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
    • Experience with scripting for data collection and automation.
    • Familiarity with Service Manager tools and incident management processes.
    • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience with North Bound Interface (NBI) applications.
    • Proficiency in managing complex IT projects and initiatives.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
