    Description
    Senior Contracts & Sourcing Specialist


    As a key member of our team, the Senior Contracts & Sourcing Specialist will report directly to the Manager, Contracts and Sourcing.

    In this role, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, negotiating, and managing services or materials contracts in alignment with our business practices.

    You will play a pivotal role in the competitive bid process, overseeing RFP development, supplier evaluation and selection, & contract negotiation to mitigate commercial and legal risks.

    Additionally, you will lead the development and implementation of best practice sourcing and contracting strategies and initiatives.

    Sourcing:
    Conduct market and industry research and spend analysis.

    Conduct competitive bid processes, supplier evaluations and contract negotiations.

    Contracts:
    Create, manage, and maintain contracts for materials and services.

    Be a subject matter expert on the companies contracting processes and systems.

    Understand commercial, legal and risk impacts and provide advice to the business.

    Manage contract changes, amendments, warranty claims and dispute resolution.


    Establish cross functional collaboration teams and lead the business units and the rest of the procurement team in areas of sourcing and contracting.

    Perform peer review on contracts and RFP artifacts for other Supply Chain team members.

    Supplier Relationship Management:
    Monitor supplier performance and manage deliverables.


    Engage and communicate effectively with the departments and suppliers to understand business requirements and ensure supplier performance against those needs.


    Collaborate with business unit key stakeholders and suppliers to develop, implement, and continuously improve a cross-functional supplier performance management framework.


    Process / Governance:
    Support the development and continuous improvement of the contracting and procurement processes, procedures, and policies.

    Ensure compliance to the companies contracts, sourcing and purchasing control.


    Strong computing skills in MS Office Applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise.

    Experience in SAP with requisitions and purchasing would be considered an asset.

    Work experience demonstrates competency and increasing level of responsibility in strategic sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management.

    Project procurement experience in an EPC environment preferred.

    Background in electrical utilities industry an asset.

    Experience in contract development and understanding of legal terms and conditions.

    Proven track record of good job performance and attendance.
