Description

One of our leading manufacturing clients is looking for 2nd Class Power Engineer & 3rd Class Power Engineer to can play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing plant efficiency.

Location: GTA, ON & Other provinces

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain a diverse range of utilities equipment and systems, covering steam plants, HVAC, compressed air, water systems, natural gas, and refrigeration.
Foster collaborative relationships with contractors, manufacturers, and vendors to optimize operational efficiency.
Develop and oversee essential protocols, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Preventive Maintenance (PMs), Predictive Maintenance (PDM), and Work Orders (WOs).
Lead the conception and execution of projects aimed at enhancing utilities infrastructure.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and food safety regulations and standards.
Foster a culture of engagement, responsibility, accountability, and teamwork among team members.

Qualifications:

Possession of a 2nd Class Power Engineering certification.
Possession of a 3rd Class Power Engineering certification.
Proficiency in managing steam, ammonia, and refrigeration systems.
Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in steam and refrigeration operations.
Additional certifications such as Millwright and Plumbing are beneficial.
Experience working in a food processing setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Knowledge of root cause analysis and participation in continuous improvement programs like 6Sigma.
