    Our client is an international banking and financial institution with divisions located in the Americas, Europe, Asia,and the Middle East.

    They are establishing their first Canadian office and are expecting exponential growth.

    They are looking for a Trade Support Senior Associate to join their new team.

    Responsibilities:


    • Timely trade comparison for FED eligible US Treasury repo (T+0) and Treasury cash trading (T+1) activities utilizing the Sungard/FIS STN and DTCC RTTM (Real-Time Trade Matching) applications.
    • Must have thorough knowledge of the fixedincome securities (repo & cash trading) comparison process, dealing with dealers, brokers & market participants on intraday confirmation.
    • Report all unmatched advisories to middle office & trading team for reconciliation or rebooking.
    • Perform data entry responsibilities, trade corrections and reconciliation of inventory positions and average price account activities
    • Knowledge of OTC contract sheets, equities, options, foreign & Euroclear eligible securities
    • Reconciliation of late client allocations, suspense account positions and trade rejects
    • Heavy phone contact with traders, mid & back office personnel, calling and confirming pending and unmatched trades to ensure timely settlement
    • Knowledge of cashiering functions, journal movements, stock record reconciliation and International settlement practices.
    • Daily support of CA's correspondent clearing and execution accounts. Ensure all client requests (i.e. trade status and inquiries, confirms & statements reprints, dividend/corporate action information) are promptly addressed. Must have knowledge of trading markets and their settlement practices in support of our growing client base.
    • Assist the area when called upon for the other aspects of the department and operation
    • Crosstraining to assist department members
    • Commercial paper & CD manual booking & confirmation
    Qualifications:


    • University degree desirable
    • 5 years of previous experience in dividends/reorg/corporate actions processing in Capital Market Back Office
    • Knowledge of the capital market financial products and activities
    • Knowledge of the banking Front to Back processing and challenges
    • A selfstarter who is highly motivated.
    • Good analytical, organizational and interpersonal skill
    • Must be a selfstarter, with excellent problem solving skills & be able to work under pressure.
    • Must be willing to work with and articulatedealing with trading personnel & salespeople daily.
    • Mastery of Excel & Power Point.
    • Knowledge of DTCC and Sungard FIS Phase3 system preferred; DTCC, FEDWIRE; Euroclear & Clearstream helpful.
