    Description
    The Don Wheaton Family YMCA is looking for a Facility Attendant to complete high quality cleaning and general maintenance of the facility and support a better experience for our members.

    Essential Functions

  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of facility and locker rooms at all times by completing necessary duties
  • Inspect and monitor equipment regular and complete any maintenance and cleaning checklist duties. Inform the Supervisor, Duty Manager or building maintenance if repairs are needed
  • Present strong customer service skills when interacting with facility patrons
  • Comply with standards and practices to meet all local and provincial codes as well as YMCA established practices
  • Perform general maintenance duties or log requirements in the Communication Binder
  • Follow the audit process for service quality assurance
  • Assist with inventory management

    • Qualifications/Experience

  • Previous cleaning and/or janitorial experience is an asset
  • First Aid and CPR-C is an asset
  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent is an asset
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
