    Description

    Liberty Development Corporation, located in Markham, is a leading Real Estate Developer of high-density mixed use development projects across the Greater Toronto Area.

    We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Development Team.


    Role and Responsibilities:
    As a Land Development Planner / Project Coordinator working along with the Senior Management Team and Project Managers, you will be required to carry out various tasks including the following:

    Job Duties:

    Undertake research and analysis on planning policy, legislation, development standards and application requirementsDue diligence on land use planning policy frameworks for land acquisitionParticipate in concept design on new projectsInvite proposals and assist in engagement of consultant teamsCoordinate the work of consultantsSubmission of complete applications for development approvalsCoordinate responses to agency comments, and clear conditions for final approvalMeet with public officials on development plans and proposalsCommunicate with the public and stakeholdersParticipate at public consultation meetings and workshopsAttendance and participation in Planning Act hearings including the Committee of Adjustment and the Local Planning Appeal TribunalAssist in all stages of project planning, approvals, marketing and implementationAttend Committee and Council meetings, as required Qualifications:The ideal candidate has the following:University Degree in Planning, Urban Design, Architecture or a related field.

    A degree in Urban Planning is preferred1-3 years of related professional experienceIntermediate knowledge of MS Office SuiteExcellent written and oral skillsHighly efficient and effective in working in an individual or team environmentAbility to handle a high level of responsibility in a fast-paced environmentTime management skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities
