We partner with renewable energy generators across North America operating in deregulated power markets who seek to maximize the returns on their solar, wind and battery storage investments.

    Key responsibilities

    - Design and implement data models, analytics, and dashboards to communicate Power Markets insights.
    - Analyze drivers of Day Ahead and Real Time Markets based on a variety of factors.
    - Perform various analyses for asset managers and develop reports for our business partners.
    - Develop automated tools to simplify the production of reports and analysis using SQL and Python.
    - Work with asset managers to understand our clients' business needs.
    - Prepare and review pitch decks.
    - Contribute to the development of products and service proposals.

    Qualifications

    - Master's degree in business, actuary, finance, engineering, or related field.
    - 3 years or plus of experience in investment banking, M&A or Private Equity.
    - Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
    - A commercial acumen and great presentation skills.
    - Data visualization skills (Power BI or Tableau) is an asset.
    - Experience with renewable energies is an asset.
    - Excellent written and spoken English skills. French is an asset.
    - Ability and interest to work from our Montreal office.

    Responsabilités principales :

    - Concevoir et implanter des modèles prédictifs, des analyses et des tableaux de bord afin de communiquer des informations sur les marchés de l'énergie.
    - Analyser les facteurs qui influencent le prix de l'électricité sur les marchés en temps réel et sur le « day ahead » en fonction de divers facteurs.
    - Effectuer diverses analyses pour les gestionnaires d'actifs et élaborer des rapports pour nos partenaires d'affaires.
    - Participer activement au développement et à l'amélioration des processus opérationnels automatisés (SQL et Python).
    - Travailler avec les gestionnaires d'actifs pour comprendre les besoins commerciaux de nos clients.
    - Préparer et réviser les présentations de « pitch ».
    - Contribuer au développement de propositions de produits et de services.

    Qualifications recherchées :

    - Maitrise en actuariat, finance, ingénierie ou dans un domaine connexe.
    - 3 ans et plus d'expérience dans un rôle d'investissement, de fusion et d'acquisition ou de « Private Equity ».
    - Solides compétences en programmation en Python et SQL.
    - Un sens commercial et des solides compétences en matière de présentation.
    - Compétences en visualisation de données (R, Power BI, Tableau) est un atout.
    - Expérience en énergies renouvelables est un atout.
    - Excellentes compétences en anglais écrit et parlé. Le français est un atout.
    - Capacité et intérêt à travailler de notre bureau à Montréal.
