    Description

    Join our dynamic team at a well-established Canadian company with a long-standing history spanning over 70 years in the industry. We are in search of an Outside Sales Representative to boost sales and nurture relationships with our valued clients. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing specific territories, conducting in-person visits to client locations, and demonstrating the features and advantages of our products. This role requires integrity, enthusiasm, and exceptional communication skills to excel.

    Position Summary

    The Outside Sales Representative will concentrate on sales opportunities, maintaining connections with existing clients while actively seeking new prospects. Your duties will involve efficiently managing your designated area, representing the company in a professional manner, and staying abreast of industry trends and competitors' activities.

    Responsibilities

    • Cultivate and nurture relationships with current clients
    • Expand sales within current accounts
    • Highlight product features and benefits to clients
    • Establish a network of referrals to drive revenue growth
    • Identify and pursue new client accounts, including cold calling if necessary
    • Stay informed about new products and competitor strategies
    • Efficiently manage call schedule to cover assigned territory
    • Utilize sales management software for optimal efficiency
    • Maintain accurate records and assist with RFP responses


    Requirements

    Requirements

    • Preferable experience in sales within the building materials/construction/manufacturing sector
    • Knowledge of steel building products
    • Strong presentation and communication skills
    • Ability to conduct effective presentations
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

    Working Conditions

    • Frequent travel required, often involving extended hours of daily driving
    • Capability for travel for presentations
