    Co-op Student (Temporary – up to 8 months)

    Supply Management Services

    Finance Department

    We have an opportunity for a Co-op Student to join our Supply Management team within the Finance Department. Responsible for the City's bidding processes, inventory management, and risk management.

    POSITION FUNCTION

    Joining under the Co-operative Educational Training Program, you will have challenging assignments and get insight into a career in municipal government. Assist with projects and contribute to the unit's goals.

    KEY DUTIES

    • Assist with enhancing the City's operations
    • Participate in future projects aligned with strategic goals
    • Research, analyze, and present findings
    • Identify and test new tools and processes

    INDEPENDENCE

    Work assigned and reviewed by supervisor. Problems referred to supervisor.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Physical Effort: Normal. Some heavy lifting required
    • Mental Effort: Normal
    • Visual/Auditory Effort: Normal
    • Work Environment: Office, Driving, Public Events

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Formal Education, Training and Occupational Certification:

    High School graduate. Enrolled in Co-operative Education Program. Currently in full-time education.

    Experience:

    Not required.

    Pre-Employment Requirements

    Applicants must provide proof of qualifications.

    Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 35-hour work week

    $30.85 per hour, Pay Grade 2
