    Job Description:

    Langara College is currently modernizing its Student Information System by implementing Workday Student. This role will be critical for the ongoing sustainment of our new Student Information System when this project is complete. The IT Product Manager (Workday Integrated Services) is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the entire product lifecycle including requirements gathering, market research, definition of product vision and strategy, delivery management as well as ensuring quality support and maintenance for the Workday Integrated Services (WIS) product suite. The IT – Product Manager (PdM) Workday Integrated Services collaborates closely with the user groups, market leaders, IT , vendors, Product Managers, Project Managers, Architects, other higher-ed institutions and other related organizations. The IT – PdM (WIS) provides leadership and management to the Strategic Analytic Consultant and Strategic Analytic Coordinator team(s).

    Education & Experience

    • Undergraduate degree in computing science or equivalent information technology discipline preferred.
    • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in IT and business/industry or government. Post-secondary experience would be an asset.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
    • Strong practical knowledge of project and product management principles, methods, and practices.
    • Solid understanding of product design and business analysis methodologies, tools, techniques, and agile practices.
    • Experience in requirement analysis and business process re-engineering preferred.
    • Experience with the Workday ERP suite of products preferred.
    • Experience with a Higher Education institution would be desirable.
    • Experience with the M365 suite of tools preferred.
    • Experience with data analysis using Power BI, Excel Pivot Tables, or other similar tools preferred.
    • Supervisory or team management experience.

    • Understands both the technical and business side of Workday Integrated Services and is ultimately responsible for representing the end-user's needs.
