    As a valued member of the local HR team you will be the strategic partner to the largest set of clients in the Canadian Marketing company and be a thought leader for key HR projects that are relevant across the Commercial business in Canada. You are by nature of the role an HR professional with a broad set of experiences and general accomplishments across many fields of HR through your career and can run self-sufficiently with your client groups but you will also draw upon local and global centers of excellence as you uphold your accountabilities.

    The main accountabilities will include:

  • Partners across multiple business units and functions with other local HRBPs to consistently deliver the fantastic 'great place to work' promise to employees
  • Works closely with business leaders and HR colleagues on the culture and climate across the different employee cohorts, understanding from information and insight where any difficulties may arise and working proactively to support the population in their area of responsibility
  • Enables employee experience through excellence in moments that matter for these teams working both with the hiring managers to ensure strong readiness and collaborating to ensure at the employee level their employment experience is best in class
  • In partnership with in-market VP HR, upholds local policies in line with Global Standards and local practices to ensure compliant and fit-for-purpose, competitive employee offerings
  • Engages and contracts with colleagues to diagnose, design and deliver relevant HR interventions
  • Collaborating across the local HR team with smooth hand offs of key processes to the HR business partners and also strong leverage of the COE leads if required i.e. Rewards partner, ER partner or I&D/T&D partner, TAQ partner
  • Delivers or support delivery of the relevant HR solutions to agreed scope, timescale, cost, and benefit across or within business areas
  • Establishes relationships with business and HR partners to capture business requirements and ensure their understanding and dedication to the outcomes
  • Coaches, supports, mentors and challenges business leaders in the application of HR policies and practices, provides advice and direction on sophisticated HR issues in order to minimize risk and improve employee experience
  • In partnership with the Employee Relations Center of Excellence, provides consultation on employment issues, at collective and individual level, applying knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, methods, and programs.
  • Drives Manager/Employee adoption of the right channels and appropriate HR teams and resources to receive the support the teams need
  • Responsible for managing a select number of HR driven projects that you and all HRLT members take on when required to pull through to the organization

    • To excel in this role you should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree, specialty in Human Resources is an asset
  • 5-10 years of experience in HR roles serving large groups of employees
  • Advanced communication, presentation and project management skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills with ability to apply sound judgement
  • Strong relationship building and relationship management skills, high integrity orientation
  • Demonstrated business acumen, ability to understand partner's business challenges
  • Expertise in global corporate professional workforce settings is an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Canadian employment law and regulations
  • Bilingual in English and French and experience in pharma are both assets but not required
