The AIR MILES Reward Program is well-known in Canada, with a vast number of active collectors, making it a prevalent choice among Canadian households.
Collectors can earn Reward Miles at a wide range of leading brands in Canada and globally, as well as online, and at various retail and service locations across the country.
AIR MILES is a subsidiary of the Bank of Montreal (BMO), one of the oldest and largest banks in North America.
The Manager in this role will be instrumental in developing customer-centric business and loyalty marketing strategies through the use of top-notch analytical solutions.
The successful candidate will head a team of Analysts and offer expertise in utilizing consumer data and analytics within the retail industry.
This position aims to help our Partners create stronger and more beneficial relationships with their customers.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the analytical workload, ensuring completion of tasks, creation of insights, and effective communication with internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business partners to establish metrics and success criteria for evaluating program impact.
- Develop and interpret analytical methods to support retail business objectives, ranging from BI reporting to advanced modeling.
- Assist in developing Customer and Program strategies/segmentation by leveraging analytics and trends, contributing to the data plan supporting these strategies.
- Establish an ongoing analytics plan for the Program, including a timetable and clear communication of deliverables to key stakeholders.
- Conduct quarterly forecasting and monthly variance analyses based on stakeholder inputs, ensuring accuracy and providing explanations for variances.
- Ensure campaigns run as scheduled, factoring in budget constraints against financial forecasts.
- Create a measurement plan and key metrics based on campaign scope defined by the Marketing Manager, ensuring alignment with the overall Program objectives.
- Offer historical/trend insights for effective planning of Program marketing calendars, and provide input and recommendations for campaign targeting and design.
- Demonstrate analytics leadership and provide guidance across Air Miles, participating in business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education is a requirement.
- An undergraduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics is preferred.
- Preference given to candidates with a master's degree in analytics, business, or statistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel) is essential.
- Basic technical knowledge of SQL and/or Python is necessary.
- Competency in visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning, predictive modeling, and data mining.
