    Description

    One of Canada's leading financial institutions is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their team in Toronto. This major firm offers competitive compensation and benefits in the dynamic financial services industry.

    As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting and communicating business requirements across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Gather and document comprehensive business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, business process mapping, and other techniques
    • Analyze and model business processes, data flows, and use cases to identify opportunities for improvement
    • Conduct gap analysis between current and desired future states to determine project scope
    • Create detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows and other requirement artifacts
    • Facilitate requirements validation sessions and manage changes through defined processes
    • Support UAT activities and ensure traceability between requirements and project deliverables
    • Provide expertise in industry best practices and methodologies for requirements management

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
    • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the financial services domain
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with stakeholders at all levels
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
    • Working knowledge of requirements management tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA)
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in both Agile and Waterfall project environments
    • Financial services industry experience is highly preferred
