    Applicant Eligibility:

    This opportunity is made possible by funding from the Canada Summer Jobs program which helps provide summer work experiences for those 15-30 years of age.

    Contract Term: 8 weeks (Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week)

    05 per hour (living wage – GTA)

    We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to assist our Marketing & Communications department with content creation and updates, social media monitoring and engagement, and marketing analytics.

    Contribute to the creation and publishing of digital content on United Way Halton & Hamilton's social media platforms including: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
    Monitor social and digital platforms for follow up and to maintain stakeholder engagement
    Assist with compiling social media reports/marketing analytics
    Prepare press releases and newsletter content, connecting the messaging with interested audiences
    Update United Way's websites on various platforms such as Benevity, with relevant content using WordPress
    Organize and draft content for email and print marketing campaigns with a goal to raise funds and brand awareness
    Research strategies and attend events to better understand brand engagement
    Support the organization's video editing and photography activities
    Research new trends for social media and digital marketing

    1-3 years of Marketing and Communications education or experience
    ~ Excellent attention to detail and proven track record of content accuracy
    ~ Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, social media or third-party platforms
    ~ Strong written and communication skills, including the ability the create compelling content for widespread distribution to stakeholders and the public (e.g. newsletters)
    ~ Practiced at carrying projects to completion with minimum supervision
    ~ Experience with social media reports and marketing analytics an asset
