    Position Summary

    The Sales Representative is responsible for selling to new and existing customers within a

    defined territory. The Sales Representative sells new material handling equipment and other

    products or services as defined by the current commission package.

    Specific Accountabilities

    • Achieves sales targets as determined by company
    • Contacts current customers to sell new Toyota brand Class 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 material handling equipment
    • Solicits new business within territory
    • Performs a customer service function including initiating and follow-up with customers to resolve problems as it relates to invoicing, products or services
    • Prepares and presents quotes and recommends products or services based on customer business needs
    • Prepare and submit call reports and monthly sales reports – as required
    • Creates and maintains sales activity on a regular basis in CRMD
    • Maintains proper visibility/coverage within defined territory and reporting on such as required (i.e. lost order reporting)
    • Will initiate the introduction of service associates to a customer

    Education & Work Experience

    Post secondary or equivalent education proficiency and/or 2-5 years' experience in an industrial sales position. Prior experience in the material handling industry or capital equipment sales would be an asset.

    • Proven ability to sell
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and French (written and verbal)
    • Well developed negotiation skills
    • Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
    • Ability to write business correspondence
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
    • Ability to be organized with respect to on-going calls/discussion for follow-up – record keeping
    • Ability to provide creative solutions to unique customer/Liftow requirements
    • Ability to initiate and maintain territorial activity via various methods of contact ie. Cold call, phone, email, fax, mailer with short and long-term growth targets
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and customer personnel (president to operator)

    Working Conditions

    This position requires the ability to travel to customer sites on a daily basis; a valid driver's

    license is required.

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an

    employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand,

    walk, talk and hear. The employee is required to have a valid driver's license and reliable

    transportation to make sales calls.

    This position offers a $60,000 base salary plus car and gas allowance, plus commission with a potential total annual compensation between $80,000-$150,000.

    Sommaire du poste

    Le représentant commercial est responsable de la vente de nouveaux équipements aux clients

    existants sur un territoire défini. Le représentant commercial vend des équipements de

    manutention et d'autres produits, ou des services tels que définis par le modèle de commissions

    actuel.

    Responsabilités spécifiques

    • Atteindre les objectifs de vente fixés par l'entreprise.
    • Contacter les clients actuels pour vendre de nouveaux équipements de manutention Toyota de classes 1, 2, 3, 4 et 5.
    • Solliciter de nouveaux clients dans le territoire.
    • Assurer une fonction de service à la clientèle, y compris l'initiation et le suivi pour résoudre les problèmes liés à la facturation, aux produits ou aux services.
    • Préparer et présenter des devis et recommander des produits ou des services en fonction des besoins commerciaux des clients.
    • Préparer et soumettre des rapports de visite et des rapports de vente mensuels (selon les besoins).
    • Créer et maintenir régulièrement l'activité de vente dans la dynamique de GRC.
    • Maintenir une visibilité/couverture adéquate dans le territoire défini et produire des rapports au besoin (c'est-à-dire signaler les commandes perdues).

    Scolarité et expérience professionnelle

    Diplôme d'études postsecondaires ou équivalent et/ou 1 à 3 années d'expérience à un poste de

    vente dans l'industrie. Une expérience préalable dans le secteur de la manutention ou dans la

    vente de biens d'équipement serait un atout.

    Compétences et aptitudes

    • Aptitude éprouvée à la vente.
    • Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et de communication (écrites et verbales).
    • Compétences de négociation bien développées.
    • Aptitude à établir efficacement des rapports, à présenter l'information et à répondre aux questions.
    • Aptitude à résoudre des problèmes pratiques et à traiter toutes sortes de variables.
    • Aptitude à rédiger de la correspondance commerciale.
    • Maîtrise de Microsoft Word, Excel et Power Point.
    • Bonne capacité d'organisation pour le suivi des visites/discussions et la tenue des dossiers.
    • Aptitude à fournir des solutions créatives adaptées aux besoins de Liftow et des clients.
    • Aptitude à lancer et à maintenir une activité territoriale par divers moyens de contact (téléphone, courriel, télécopieur, courrier) avec des objectifs de croissance à court et à long terme.
    • Aptitude à communiquer efficacement avec tous les niveaux hiérarchiques et avec le personnel de service à la clientèle (du président aux opérateurs).

    Conditions de travail

    La personne qui occupe ce poste doit être titulaire d'un permis de conduire valide pour effectuer
