    We are looking for a full-time

    Librarian, Research Services . As a key member of the Library Services team, you will be reporting to the Manager, Library Services.

    In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal and business research and reference services and training to lawyers and students.


    Scope of Responsibilities:
    Provide timely and high quality legal and business research, analysis and reference services on complex matters to lawyers, students and staffDevelop knowledge of legal subject areas and relevant research toolsAdvise students and lawyers on technical research strategy, methodology and resourcesKeep lawyers informed about developments relevant to their practice by monitoring legislation, case law and mediaCollaborate with Library team, Research Lawyers and Directors of Professional Support and Legal Talent to develop and deliver innovative research instruction and training to lawyers and studentsEvaluate and recommend new research tools and resourcesParticipate in the overall development and management of the library's collectionContribute to and actively participate in staff meetings, and attend professional learning and development eventsProvide assistance to others during absences as neededOther duties as assigned

    Requirements:
    Master's degree in Library Science/Information Studies is required2-5 years experience providing legal and business research servicesAbility to think critically and analytically in order to provide accurate, high-quality research services to lawyers and studentsDiscretion, confidentiality and attention to detail are essentialExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a professional team, managing the prioritization and completion of tasks in a timely and effective manner with minimal supervisionKeen interest in learning and developmentAbility to adapt to the changing framework of library and information management services and practicesDemonstrates excellent client service and ability to anticipate client needs
