The week inside my head.

€ o® 7 JIM’S JOURNAL VOL 2: FEBRUARY 4, 2024 I know I could probably jinx it by saying this, but so far it's been a winter without snow, down here anyway. Every day I look at the weather radar and I see all this dark blue passing north and south of us. And while I'm happy about it, I also think a bit about how the weather patterns all around the world are changing as the planet grows warmer. Climate change seems to have gotten lost in hype about war and political tension just about everywhere you can think of. It's paradoxical in the extreme, because climate change will eventually start to displace even more people than all the bullshit wars going on right now in the world. I'm not sure I'll be around when the really bad shit starts to manifest, but my kids and their kids will and I can’t help but wonder what their lives are gonna be like. On a more cheerful note, I'm laughing my ass off at the way sweet little Taylor Swift has gotten up the noses of just about every Republican in America. They're scared shitless of her because she has, without even breaking a sweat, galvanized more young people, mostly girls and women into registering to vote and getting themselves educated about national politics. The whole world will now see exactly what people like me and a bunch of other folks I know have been watching closely for a while nows. and that is that the Republican party has pretty much flushed itself down the toilet in the grungiest truck stop restroom you can imagine. The American people, you know the ones that haven't been sucked into the black hole of Trumpism, need to really pull together and give Joe Biden a solid majority so he can keep on doing all the good shit he's been doing without a lot of brain-addled Republican interference. America is a great country. Sadly, it just has way too many assholes in it.
