The world is too much with us; late and soon, Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers,— Little we see in Nature that is ours; We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon! This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon; The winds that will be howling at all hours, And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers; For this, for everything, we are out of tune... William Wordsworth had it all figured out way back in the 1830s And since that time it’s been a steady trip down the hill that will end in oblivion. We are, as a species, wasting the gifts that we were given in the name of dubious progress and greed. We have divided ourselves into sects, each sect believing they are the greatest of them all. We have lost the ability to collectively respond to the challenges we face. All we do it pick at each other. Shooting barbs back and forth across the ether. We are a sad excuse for something that was supposed to have been God's greatest creation. We need to wake up, grow up and wise up, because the end of the human race is in plain sight our headlong dive into it needs to be halted or else, we will simply be no more. | Mono
