Sylvia solves the mystery and, longing to reconnect with her sister (Tara Fitzgerald), decides to start anew in Umbria. MY BLURB: Acorn is not a huge site, but there are all kinds of good shows there that | have enjoyed over the years. Signora Volpe is just the latest of the batch Besides being a cool story with interesting char- acters, which are only starting to be developed in the first episode (new episodes every Monday), the cinematography of the Umbrian countryside is breathtakingly beautiful Emilia Fox, who is the daughter of the British actor Edward Fox has a pretty big 20 year career in film and TV in Britain. In Signora Volpe she plays an M16 spook who has been promoted and riding a desk and now feels it's time to get out. She has tradecraft skills up the wazoo, and when she goes to Umbria attend her niece's wedding, she gets to use a lot of them trying to figure out a murder that happened there The first episode was about and hour and a half long, so it was kind of a movie in a way. The story moves right along though and as | said the cine- matography of the Italian countryside is amazing. Although | guess it's pretty hard to screw up shoot- ing Italy This is a three spud series, which is as much a reco for Acorn as well CHR ONICLES RATING SYSTEM NO SPUD 4U -- SUCKS 1 SPUD -- NOTHING SPECIAL 2 SPUDS -- WORTH WATCHING 3 SPUDS -- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Copynght 2022, MurMarketing, Jim Murray Prop
