When The Stars Fall From The Sky

The changes are moving swiftly
The die is already cast

Nothin’ can go on the same

As it has in the past

The powers that be are powerless
Bound by laws that cannot last
And we live with the truth

That yesterday was nothin’ but lies
As we look up to see

The stars fallin’ from the sky

The healing forces of nature

Have been overpowered by greed

In a world picked clean by vultures

Can love ever hope to succeed

It’s no longer a case of what we want
It’s all about what we need

And most of us are just too scared to try
As we look up to see

The stars fallin’ from the sky

When the stars fall from the sky

You better have your helmet on

You better be prepared to fly

In the darkness of the empty dawn
There will be no turning back

Further down this road we all are on
There will be no one to sing us a lullabye
When the stars fall from the sky

But if we start livin’ for tomorrow

And if we vow to take a stand

| believe there’s nothing we can’t do
Because the power is in our hands

We can make this world a better place
For every woman, child and man

All we have to do is stop believin’ the lie

The lie that’s making
The stars fall from the sky Mur

Moments — dead and living.

A short time ago I bumped into someone I had not seen for a while and he asked me what has been happening — it was one of those questions that invites the broadest of context. As I weaved a meandering reply I could not help but mention my sister's death, the death of two dear fri ...
