If you like to watch Sean Penn kick ass, it doesn't get anymore kick-assier than this.

THE GUNMAN
(2 SPUDS) (ON netflix)

WIKI BLURB: The Gunman is a 2015 action thriller
film directed by Pierre Morel and written by Don
Macpherson, Pete Travis and Sean Penn, based
on the novel The Prone Gunman by Jean-Patrick
Manchette. It stars Penn along with Javier Bar-
dem, Idris Elba, Mark Rylance, Jasmine Trinca and
Ray Winstone.

MY BLURB: Sean Penn, in my book at least, is
one of the best action guys around. In this movie
he plays a mercenary sniper who needs to be
gotten rid of to protect the corporate barons
who hired him,

The film itself is pretty much one long chase
scene, where Sean, looking very cut, has to plow
his way through a fairly large number of people
who want to kill him.

Politically, it also makes a very strong statement
about the exploitation of African resources by
large corporate interests, an issue that | imagine
is very close to Sean Penn's heart.

This is a powerful and extremely well done
action picture that’s actually about something.
