    Workingwithin the Business and Productivity Portfolio, Contract Facilitators willdeliver training courses and programs to external organizations/clients andstudents. Instructors are being recruited to teach in the business program forgeneral writing and business writing courses. Candidates must have some weekdaydaytime availability.

    Thesuccessful candidates will possess experience and subject matter expertiserelating to business writing, including: clear and concise writing, identifyinggrammatical errors, proofreading, tailoring writing to the audience, and usinginclusive language. Ideally candidates will have taught courses and workshopspreviously and have an active learning focus as part of their course deliverycapabilities. Courses are delivered during the daytime on weekdays or eveningand weekends, either online or face-to-face on campus or at a client site.

    Contract Instruction Deliverables:

  • Provide direct instruction utilizingappropriate instructional strategies to maximize student motivation andlearning in a skill-building environment.
  • Utilize appropriate educationtechnology for communications and presentations.
  • Maintain professional ethicalrelationships with students and colleagues; respond professionally to studentissues and concerns; submit marks/records promptly.

    • Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relatedfield with at least 10 years of experience, or a master's degree with lessexperience will be considered.
  • Experienced with the training andfacilitation of adult learners in a face-to-face and online environment using avariety of engagement techniques.
  • A NAIT Becoming a Master Instructor(BMI) / Training and Instructional Development (TID) certificate would be adefinite asset.
  • Skilled in MS Office suite andcollaboration tools.
