    Description
    Administrative Liaison, Shared Services

    • 1 - Permanent Position

    Summary of Duties:
    • Act as a liaison with community members, organizations and constituents on behalf of the trustees;
    • Provide information to parents and the community on policy and emergent situations;
    • Respond to calls from parents, principals, media, and Board staff;
    • Compose, edit and prepare correspondence;
    • Prepare and distribute information for meetings;
    • Coordinate meetings and appointments;
    • Manage the trustees' Web pages;
    • Gather data and research matters;
    • Monitor and track expenses;
    • Order supplies and equipment;
    • Assist with preparation of the department's budget;
    • Provide confidential administrative support;
    • Attend regular meetings with executive support staff;
    • Participate in staff development activities;
    • Manage office records;
    • Receive, track, forward, and respond to incoming mail;
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    • Secondary school diploma plus additional course work in Business Administration;
    • Four years of administrative experience;
    • Proficient in keyboarding and computer skills;
    • Effective communication skills;
    • Ability to organize and coordinate projects;
    • Handle matters with diplomacy and confidentiality;
    • Knowledge of policies and procedures;
    • Manage a budget;
    • Work well under pressure;
    • Prepare accurate reports;
    • Take initiative.

    Special Requirements:
    • Availability to work evenings and weekends with short notice;
    • Occasional travel across TDSB.

    Work Year: 12 Months
    Location: 5050 Yonge Street (Hybrid Work Eligible)
