  • Job Summary
  • Reporting into the VP Market Strategy this role is key to the delivery of an accurate demand signal. Leading a team of four direct reports and working hand in hand with our regional sales leads, this role is responsible for implementing the right processes, reporting, tracking and ways of working that will enable us to deliver on forecasting accuracy and MAPE\BIAS targets. This role works hand in hand with sales, operations, marketing and finance and plays a key role in our yearly commercial planning volume build. This role has strong market analytics experience and understanding of market share desegregation in order to predict volume build/performance and explain gaps vs preliminary assumptions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Standardization of Sales Operations practices to maximize productivity and delivery

    • Regions/Channels – entreprise processes and practices implemented

    • Communication / Timing / Quality

    • Reporting / Tracking KPIs

    National Volume Call Accuracy

    • OTC/ship/inventories

    • Owned/Import business

    • LE generation + assumptions

    • Market calls / share calls – building block approach

    • Consolidation end of month vs initial assumptions

    • Gap close with regions / cross functional team members

    Commercial Planning Volume Call Leadership

    • Ensure all regions moving in same way at same time

    • Standardize volume call tools and processes

    • Bring together key cross functional teams to contribute to volume build

    Delivery of KPIs

    • Minimize OOS

    • Contribute to health inventory levels (FCF)

    • MAPE/BIAS targets

    Team management

    • Aligns the organization's structure, systems, processes, and people with business strategy

    • Develops team members to increase productivity and align with their individual development goals

    • Establishes clear, concise key results that are aligned with business objectives

    Qualifications, Experience and Education


    • University Degree


    • 8-10 years CPG Experience in analytics roles with 3-5 years leading team experience

    • In-depth knowledge of the CPG industry and Canadian Retail Industry.

    • Strong planning/organizing skills; the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and create structure and process where it does not currently exist

    • Strong relationship builder, retailer relationships as well as sales team partnerships.

    • Strong joint business planning capabilities with retailers.

    • Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written & presentation

    • Excel and Power BI Power User

    • Working knowledge of syndicated data platforms : Nielsen, Dunnhumby, IRI, Precima

    • Strong track record of Process Re-Design

    • Strong track record of driving and managing change effectively within one's functional area as well as across the company

    • Experience with ERP Systems (JDE Preferred)

    • Demonstrated record of leading teams to achieve excellent results and continuously improve performance

    Compensation : Budgeted Range – ($114, $148, The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
