    Description
    Join Triovest, one of the largest privately-owned Canadian commercial real estate companies, as a Senior Corporate Accountant in Calgary. The successful individual will be responsible for the day to day financial and corporate reporting functions.
    Provide monthly variance analysis for revenue and expenses (actual vs budget).
    Review and approve coding of Accounts Payable invoices.
    Review and approve Accounts Receivable invoices relating to leasing, development and capital improvement fees.

    Identify and participate in the investigation and application of technical accounting issues including preparation of memos related to policy changes under ASPE.

    Assist with the compilation and preparation of the annual corporate budget and long-range plan.
    Support the Finance Department with assistance of annual audit preparations.
    Provide mentorship and leadership to junior staff.

    Assist in the preparation of consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis and actively participate and support the resolution of accounting issues, including coordination with auditors.

    Support the preparation of Corporate quarterly forecasts and annual budgets/long-range plans.

    3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a national accounting firm and/or similar experience within the commercial real estate industry.

    ~ Proficiency in Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) considered an asset.
    ~ Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
    ~ Ability to work well with senior management, peers, clients, and other external parties.
    ~ The ideal candidate is highly organized with a keen eye for detail, a high level of business maturity and solid problem-solving skills.
    ~ The successful person can adapt to change in a positive way and deliver successful results within a specified time frame. Also, the candidate must be self-starter, a strategic thinker and have a service-oriented attitude that will encourage continuous improvement of service and performance.
