- Establish and oversee a centralized catalogue that provides detailed information on all AI models in use, including their purpose, design, data sources, validation results, and performance metrics.
- Stay abreast of developments in AI ethics, safety standards, and regulatory changes, and adjust governance policies accordingly.
- Evaluate AI projects for potential societal, ethical, and technological impacts, ensuring risks are proactively identified and mitigated.
- Conduct routine audits of AI models to detect and rectify biases, ensuring alignment with fairness standards.
- Curate and deliver training sessions and materials to promote understanding and adherence to responsible AI principles among internal teams.
- Advocate for AI model interpretability, ensuring decisions made by such models, especially in sensitive domains, are explainable to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed responsible AI principles into daily processes, ensuring alignment between technical and ethical considerations.
- Collaborate with AI development teams to incorporate safety and ethical considerations into the AI lifecycle, from design to deployment and monitoring.
- Lead engagement with internal and external stakeholders on AI safety and impact issues, including transparency reports and public communications.
- Set up channels for users and stakeholders to communicate concerns about AI outputs and lead the subsequent resolution processes.
- Align responsible AI initiatives with the company's wider mission, ensuring that ethical AI practices bolster the organization's objectives and reputation.
- PhD or Masters degree in Computer Science, AI, Ethics, Law, or a related field.
- Experience in AI ethics, policy, or governance roles, ideally within the tech or retail industry.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, their applications, and potential societal impacts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and ethical issues to a variety of audiences.
