What you will be doing...
The Director, Ancillary Services, is an architect of opportunity. As the Director of Ancillary Services and Campus Planning you will play a pivotal role sharing the future of our campuses in helping to ensure every student's journey is an exceptional one. As the Director, you'll lead strategic oversight to revolutionize ancillary services, including bookstores, cafeterias, parking, rentals, event management, and leasing. Your role is to enhance the student and campus experience while exploring revenue-generating opportunities. Collaborate with senior leaders, create an innovative service delivery model, and elevate ancillary services to new heights.
The Director requires the ability to build strategy, initiate, implement and support new or modified approaches, practices, and processes in Ancillary Services, recognizing the need for change across service areas and setting priorities accordingly to implement change and maximize effectiveness.
The Director is responsible to collaboratively design the delivery of non-academic service; ancillary services provided at campuses through the creation of a campus-based ancillary service delivery framework. The Director must be able to impact and influence colleagues in our matrixed organization and provide leadership to others with whom they do not have a direct reporting relationship.
Engaging and collaborating with Campus Principals, the Director will position the NSCC to leverage relationships and partnerships to facilitate community, regional and provincial sense-making, and opportunity development, and will also bring community-based intelligence to NSCC colleagues to work together to inform strategic and business planning, as well as influence academic programming across all lines of business.
This position plays a supportive role to the entire Campuses and Communities portfolio by facilitating integrated and aligned campus planning activities and serving to anchor campus-based service delivery as responsive to local, regional and sector needs and opportunities. Key focus areas include campus service delivery excellence, development of key performance indicators and measurement, and continuous process improvement.
