    Description

    The House of Commons Administration delivers outstanding services to Members of Parliament and their employees in support of parliamentary democracy.

    The House of Commons Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the Multimedia Team Lead position.

    In this role, you will provide operational technical, business and project advice, including managing a team of technical experts who provide planning, design, installation, broadcasting, webcasting, event support, maintenance, overhaul and second- and third-level support related to integrated multimedia equipment, as well as data equipment and connectivity to support Parliament.

    As part of this position, you must be willing to work on site up to five days a week, weekends, shift work, early morning, daytime, and late evening shifts, and potentially be on call/overtime on short notice.

    Training and development opportunities
    ~ Completion of trade school, college or university degree or diploma in a field related to audio-visual production, technical production, media arts and technology, electrical engineering, electronics or an acceptable combination of education, technical training, and experience.

    8 plus years of experience in event provisioning, audio-visual, broadcasting or webcasting support;
    ~ Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading a team in an event provisioning, audio-visual, broadcasting, multi-media or webcasting support environment (the experience must include performance management, scheduling and handling diverse human resources related situations).
    ~ Experience working under pressure and managing stressful situations.
