    Description

    Are you a Law Clerk looking to make a move? Our private sector client, an established law firm, is searching for an organized deadline-driven professional like you to join their team in Ottawa, ON, on a full-time, on-site basis. If you have 2+ years of experience working in Commercial Real Estate, Financing, or Corporate Law, this position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact

    Salary range: $55,000-$65,000

    About you

    You should bring :

    • 2+ years as a Law Clerk working in Commercial Real Estate Law and Financing —experience in Corporate Law is an asset
    • Law Clerk, Legal Assistant, or equivalent college diploma
    • Proficient in using Unity or Lawyer Done Deal and Teraview software —experience using Clio is an asset.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Deadline-driven with keen attention to detail.
    • Bilingualism in English and French is preferred but not required

    About the role

    As the successful candidate, you will:

    • Manage commercial real estate and financing files from start to finish.
    • Complete and interpret title searches.
    • Organize and track the flow of work.
    • Prepare legal documentation and handle all aspects of real estate and financing transactions.
    • Manage team members' calendars and schedules.
    • Maintain regular and professional contact with clients and stakeholders.
    • Maintain a follow-up system on outstanding matters and initiate follow-up as necessary.
    • Maintain client files and records.
    • Prepare client invoices and final reports.
