- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients accurately, ensuring the proper balance of flavors and textures. Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and icings according to established recipes and guidelines.
- Decorate and garnish pastries and desserts creatively to achieve visually appealing presentations. Utilize piping techniques, glazes, sauces, and other decorative elements to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the final products.
- Maintain high standards of quality in all aspects of pastry production, including taste, texture, appearance, and freshness.
- Manage and prioritize pastry production based on anticipated demand and orders. Ensure efficient utilization of time and resources to meet customer expectations and minimize waste.
- Stay updated with current pastry and baking trends, techniques, and flavor profiles.
- Minimum 1 year of prior experience as a pastry cook / baker
- Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry making process
- Strong artistic and creative skills to design and decorate pastries and desserts with precision and flair
- Experience in developing and expanding pastry menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients, and adapting to customer preferences.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet production schedules in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and withstanding high temperatures.
