    THE JOB : Content Development Coordinator, People and Culture (18 Month Contract)

    The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

    Starting Salary Range: $55,490 -$ 69,363

    Reporting to the Content Development Manager, People and Culture, the Content Development Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and developing Learning and Development (L&D) initiatives in alignment with organizational values and learning programs. The Coordinator will work closely with the entire Learning and Development team creating new learning strategies, course content, and training support resources, contributing to the larger learning framework and employee success. The Coordinator will update, redesign, publish, and track courses and programs, addressing organizational and employee needs. In addition, the coordinator will manage the learning management systems, work with IT Support and external vendors to troubleshoot technical issues, and support the annual maintenance of eLearning content.

    This role will need to interface effectively with professionals at all levels and collaborate not only with the L&D Team but also the larger People and Culture department. The Coordinator will have an impact on employee engagement, organizational effectiveness and learnings, operational efficiency, and Doctors of BC culture, elevating the employee experience through enhanced and customized content. As a valued contributor to the L&D team the Coordinator will actively participate in establishing operational goals and objectives for the L&D team to meet targets.

    WHAT YOU BRING

  • A University degree in a recognized and related discipline, AND up to 3 years of related experience; OR have an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
  • Advanced interpersonal, oral and written communication and relationship management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to translate technical information to various audiences.
  • Proven experience with implementation and coordination of employee learning programs.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating the effectiveness of learning activities and determining opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to provide strategic consulting and act as a change agent applying creative approaches to development of a learning culture.
  • Excellent judgment in setting priorities, identifying issues and determining action required when working under pressure and deadlines.
  • Adept at balancing major concurrent tasks and projects and working with both internal staff and stakeholders in a coordinated manner.
  • Project management and change management skills to adapt to shifting business needs.
  • Ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback, and encourage an open, honest, and positive team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
  • Experience developing training content in multiple formats, i.e. eModules, Webinars, Train the Trainer, and Job Aids.
  • Knowledge of learning strategies, adult learning concepts, theories, principles, and techniques.
  • Experience in course development, design, and course mapping, including needs analysis, objective setting and assessment processes.
  • Awareness of evolving expectations, market trends, and best practices in learning and development.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based learning management systems, and eLearning software and systems will be an asset.
  • Understanding of SCORM, xAPI, Articulate product suite, and some graphic design skills will be an asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Mac based software and Microsoft Office tools.
