    Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for an Operations Officer for a 6 month contract in Edmonton. This is a hybrid role. 100% onsite for training 8-4 or 9-5pm – 3-4 months. There is a high possibility of contract extension and conversion to full time opportunity.

    Pay rate:
    $22.00 / Hour

    Working Hours:
    Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, 9am- 5pm, 10am-6pm (what is assigned, on a rotational basis)
    Overtime is occasionally required with approval.

    Responsibilities
    As an Operations Officer, your duties will include but not limited to:

    • Providing a broad range of operational support and performing general to specialized transactions and/or other processing activities
    • Executing transactions accurately, on time and in line with established guidelines/procedures while adhering to formal or informal Service Level Agreement(s) (SLAs)
    • Referring or escalating processing or operational issues as needed based on a solid understanding of the issue
    • Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery
    • Supporting partners with incoming transactions
    • Interacting with partners by responding to requests
    • Prioritizing and managing own workload to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA)
    • Understanding internal and industry regulations and trends
    • Supporting the timely and accurate completion of business processes
    • Reviewing internal processes/activities and provide ideas for process improvement
    • Investigating and escalating non-standard or high-risk activities as appropriate
    • Adhering to enterprise frameworks and methodologies
    • Complying with Bank Code of Conduct
    Qualifications

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Microsoft office experience, Proficient in Excel, word and PowerPoint
    • 2 + Admin experience
    • Time management skills
    • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
    • Adaptable and willing to learn
    • Tech savvy – able to pick up on internal company's systems and quick leaner
    • Understanding of risk compliance
    • Punctual and reliable
    • Organized and hardworking

    Nice to have:

    • Previous experience in the banking industry
    • Flexible to work
    • Experience working with SOPs
