- Manage our operations and production support team; optimize their workflow, mentor your direct reports to maximize business and technical efficiencies.
- Ensure all Scotiabank IT regulatory and compliance procedures are met.
- Manage escalations and modify established procedures / approaches to suit specific situations including 24 x 7 support and coordination of recovery efforts.
- Lead by example to develop operational plans and procedures to improve service delivery time-to-market and system reliability.
- Measure and optimize system performance to push our capabilities forward.
- Participate in defining SLIs, SLOs and SLAs for Enterprise Systems.
- Partner with development teams to address outstanding production issues and rollout fixes.
- Work with Scotiabank infrastructure teams to maintain and support infrastructure and services upgrades and software currency initiatives.
- You've been either an operations lead or manager or lead SRE in a large product team and seen how different software components of a complex architecture come together to deliver highly available and mission critical services for the business.
- Experienced in building a highly automated production monitoring and support model, hands-on experience integrating Splunk, Ansible, Dynatrace, Sumologic, Service now, PagerDuty or equivalents. Experienced in DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins etc.)
- You have sound knowledge on networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, OSI Model), multi-tier applications, microservice architecture, cloud hosted software stacks, and proficient in one or more of these scripting languages - Ansible, Terraform, Bash etc.
- Strong working experience with incident management and setting up monitoring alerts.
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks. Be self-motivated, autonomous and a team player in a fast-paced environment.
- You are an excellent communicator, planner and visioner, able to influence decision making across stakeholders. You can map and execute tactical and strategic plans for the team.
- You have competency to lead team members with differing opinions and levels of experience.

- Experience in Identify and Access Management (IAM) Domain.
- Familiarity with IAM vendor products like Forge Rock, Ping Identify, Okta, Auth0 and likes.
