    Title:
    Director, HR Solutions Strategic Initiatives

    The Director HR Solutions Strategic Initiatives is responsible for providing oversight and support on strategy development and execution reporting to SVP GHR Solutions and supporting the GHR Solutions Leadership team.

    Planning of key initiatives and research alongside other areas of Human Resources, to ensure alignment of objectives
    Develops an execution and implementation roadmap for GHR Solutions priority initiatives (global and regional in scope), working in partnership with GHR Solutions Leadership to ensure team and initiative deliverables are well planned, coordinated and successfully implemented
    Influencing and negotiating with HR COE partners, senior management and all other stakeholders to maintain support, negotiate priorities and ensure that initiatives stay on track
    Providing post-implementation status updates and support to all senior stakeholders to ensure ongoing initiative success
    Leading communications to ensure a seamless, high quality employee experience
    Creating ongoing awareness and engagement through presentations to a variety of senior stakeholders
    Other duties as assigned, i.e. special projects and initiatives for SVP GHR Solutions
    Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

    Creates an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

    Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail, executive presence and the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
    Possess intellectual curiosity around best-in-class HR practices (internal and external)
    Experience building strategic, trust-based relationships with multiple stakeholders with a proven ability to influence
    Undergraduate degree in Business, HR or related field
