    Reporting to the VP of User Experience & Design, the UX Sr.

    Director plays a critical role in driving industry-leading digital experiences across the full portfolio of Marriott International brands and channels.

    The ideal candidate must be experienced in advancing digital user experience strategy, research, and innovation in a digital commerce space.

    This high energy and dynamic UX team seeks a seasoned UX leader to advance a thoughtful, strategic and systematic approach to driving digital experiences that deliver on both revenue conversion and emotional engagement, taking into account future vision and next gen capabilities.

    As an integral part of the UX leadership team, the Sr. Manages a growing team of direct reports, including internal associates and contractors
    Provides oversight to achieve a cohesive user experience that fosters synergy between digital and physical experience
    Promotes UX best practices drawn from a variety of disciplines (within and beyond hospitality)
    Are passionate about digital user experience and put the customer at the forefront


    • Hands on experience establishing and advancing data-driven experience strategy across digital products
    • 10+ years of relevant UX/product design experience, 5+ as a manager, with demonstrated leadership experience across platforms (web, app, service design, etc)
    • Demonstrated success in creating and advancing UX strategy for digital commerce products
    • Solid background/understanding of UX, user research, IA, design thinking methodology, and design operations; Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and resources
    • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, omni-channel digital platform design and development initiatives, ideally in the global digital commerce or travel space
    • Experience in Figma, with Agile / SAFE development methodologies preferred
    Has experience creating/delivering data-driven experience strategy across platforms

    Technical Acumen - Understanding and utilizing professional skills and knowledge in a specific functional area to conduct and manage everyday business operations and generate innovative solutions to approach function-specific work challenges

    o Business Process and Analysis – Knowledge of multiple processes within sponsor department; Ability to define quality measures and evaluate performance against standards and to identify issues, risks and possible paths of resolution or mitigation strategies.

    o IT Business Management – Ability to monitor and evaluate trends in technology, technology delivery mechanisms and IT organizational processes and tools.

    o Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

    In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
