    Client Profile

    Our client, a reputable Toronto firm is currently looking for a Financial Services Legal Assistant. This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities.

    • An International Corporate Law Firm specializing in business law.
    • Recognized in the 2023 edition of Lexpert.
    • Office conveniently located in Toronto's Financial District

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Provide legal administrative support to two Partners within busy firm;

    Prepare legal documents from written, oral and taped instructions and precedents;

    Draft cover letters and routine correspondence;

    Liaise information and instructions from clients to lawyers;

    Coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel for lawyers;

    Assist with docketing and billing;

    Managing bring forward system and keeping lawyer apprised of matters in office/remote;

    Open / close / maintain legal files; and

    Assist with other administrative duties as needed.

    Requirements:

    4+ years of Corporate legal administrative experience working in a law firm;

    Diploma in Legal Administration from an accredited institution;

    Experience in legal billing and/or would be a big asset here

    Understanding of Corporate legal terminology and applicable statutes;

    Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);

    Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
