    About the Role

  • Uphold standards and service level agreements with external partners to enable the smooth transportation of product
  • Monitor, manage service providers with regards to outbound freight
  • Freight claims management
  • Administer, update and maintain freight rates
  • Determine and communicate monthly fuel and ocean bunker
  • Ensure that carrier processed payments comply with the contracted rates, including identification and resolution of any discrepancies using various applications and tools
  • Experience with optimization tools for outbound routing
  • Perform ad-hoc freight analysis and carrier statement reviews
  • Provide in depth analytics to support business needs and providing additional derived opportunities

    • About You

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in an International and Domestic Transportation & Distribution environment
  • Completion or active enrollment in Professional Designations in Logistics/Supply Chain Management (CITT, CSCP, P. Log)
  • Ability to function as a subject matter expert with traffic management system (TMS) and freight payment systems applications
  • Strong project management skills and data analysis capabilities
  • Transportation claims knowledge
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 (MS Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point)
  • Excellent problem solving and process improvement skills
  • Team player and be able to work independently to resolve issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and a strong aptitude for systems, applications and processes
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive and high-transaction volume environment
