    Program Coordinator (PT) - Refugee Sponsorship

    Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for a Part- time (37.5 hours/week) Program Coordinator in our EdmontonImmigration and Settlement office.

    This position has a weekly schedule of Monday - Friday (8:00AM to 4:30PM), some weekends and evenings may be required.

    As a Program Coordinator, you will create, enhance and maintain programs that support new immigrants and refugees and their transition into life in Canada.

    Your abilities to take initiative, remain organized, and multitask will be assets in this role.

    Coordinate program implementation to ensure the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton (SAH) meets annual target for refugee sponsorship submission to the government.

    Research and study applicable laws and policies regarding refugee sponsorship.
    Collaborate with diverse community of sponsors, constituent groups and other Sponsorship Agreement Holders (SAHs) supporting refugee migration.

    Build or maintain strong partnership with stakeholders, including Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee (UNHCR), International Organization for Migration (IOM), and others.

    2 years' experience working in an administrative role
    Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
    Knowledge of community resources
    Experience working with newcomers to Canada is considered an asset
    Criminal Record Check from local RCMP or City Police
    Child Intervention Record Check
    Experience building effective partnerships and collaborations
    Experience in doing research, working with data, and writing reports
