    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Actalent is seeking a CABLE DESIGNER for our client in the Aerospace industry located in Quebec for long term opportunities.

    Description:

    Design of the cable harnesses for satellite cameras, optics, etc. These cables will be used to connect within the system and other electronic parts. First phase will be to do the design, select the components and create BOMs and the second phase will be to do the fabrication of these cables and interact with the client and other teams involved.

  • Design and manufacture cables/harnesses
  • Modify and update electronic circuits, both digital and analogue.
  • Perform the selection of electronic parts.
  • Participate in the maintenance of the design documentation, technical budgets as well as test and start-up documentation.
  • Actively participate and collaborate in the evaluation and planning of tasks.
  • Participate in the application of the safety standards (CE, CSA, ATEX), environmental standards (RoHS, WEEE), and electromagnetic compliance standards (CE, FCC).

    • Top Skills Details:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar field
  • 3-5 years of experience in cable harness design
  • Experience with any hardware design tool (they use VISIO) Altium works too
  • Experience with space projects
  • Experience with IPC standards

    • Additional Information:

    Work Environment: This role is hybrid

    Pay Rate: Dependent on experience and qualifications
