    This role is based in our Oakville office, and reports to the Distribution Director.

    Job Purpose:

    IPEX is seeking an eager supply chain professional looking for an exciting and rewarding career in Transportation Sourcing. The successful candidate will report to the Director, Strategic Sourcing and will spend the majority of their time supporting the business through running competitive bids (Rfx), monitoring freight markets and evaluating the IPEX Transportation network to find efficiencies that will drive cost savings and/or operational excellence. And will regularly interact with both internal and external partners to address the qualitative requirements of sourcing activities and to align the transportation network with the long-term strategic needs of the business.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Pursuit of continuous improvement to drive operational and cost efficiency

    Run and Implement RFx

    Manage and improve freight vendor relationships

    Conduct freight network optimization modeling (TL, LTL, Flatbed) and rollout recommendations

    Research, evaluate, and implement process optimization initiatives

    Accountable for new vendor carrier vetting

    Accountable for monthly spend/savings reporting

    Continuously reduce non-core freight vendors through identification of infractions and root cause analysis on usage

    Address new logistics requirements to ensure freight is a value-add and ensure freight vendors are aligned with the strategic direction of IPEX

    Implement routing changes throughout the organization with support from the operational groups

    Carrier score carding

    Ensure freight vendor updates are completed in a timely fashion

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Completion of post-secondary education in a related field (MBA considered an asset)

    Working towards or completed CITT, PLog, or SCMP designation

    5-10 years of experience in a supply chain or logistics environment

    Experience in supplier management

    Solid Excel and data analytical skills involving large datasets

    Multimode transport experience

    Experience in SAP is preferred

    TMS experience is preferred
