- Promote products and solutions and achieve sales quota by establishing trust with distributors and customers.
- Performs demos during customer visits and assists customers in understanding how our solutions can support their systems.
- Provides technical and product expertise to distributors and customers.
- Maintains technical and product expertise, understanding product application in a variety of situations, and employing extensive knowledge of competitive products and industry standards.
- Collaborates with marketing and product development to acquire and use VOC.
- Effectively uses company resources, customer relationship management system, and collaborates with marketing, engineering and others to secure and renew orders.
- Engineering or comparable degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7 years experience in a related sales role, technical sales experience is a nice to have.
- Communicate effectively with customers.
- Ability to operate independently to achieve goals working in a fast-paced multidimensional environment requiring time management, creativity, and independent judgment.
- Skilled use in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Teams, and a CRM platform.
- Must live within the territory of Ontario.
- Bilingualism - French and English is an asset.

Territory Sales Manager - Toronto, Canada - Fortive
Description
We are currently looking for a sales professional with a technical background to work with our end-users and distributor network. Candidates should have 5+ years sales experience in the industrial sector selling technical solutions – preferably with a focus on electrical applications. Using your technical knowledge is key to support our distribution partners, and end-user customers.
Territory to include: Ontario, Canada. Successful candidate will already reside in the territory.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
General responsibilities:
1. Assess business conditions by geography, distributor, and end customer opportunity.
2. Participate in defining and refining national plans, programs, and opportunities to grow the business.
3. Track funnel opportunities in an accurate and timely fashion in CRM.
4. Manage large key accounts, sometimes National, or even Multinational.
5. Meet with top-tier distributors at a minimum once per quarter to develop an understanding of their business strategies. Coordinate senior-level executive visits once a year.
6. Initiate regular contact with distributors to request orders to ensure adequate stock, new product information, and policies.
7. Work with the Sales team to set up new authorized distributor locations and follow up on stocking orders.
8. Work with the Sales team to tailor promotions to distributor's branches.
9. Problem solves ongoing field-related issues.
10. Work independently with minimum supervision.
