    Dillon's Transportation Technical Group is looking for a Transportation Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals.

    You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

    We offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life. Design and Project Coordination

    Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and studies to support the development of civil infrastructure designs, including EA documentation
    Design of transportation projects including:
    Engineering studies
    Technical specifications
    Transportation drafting using CADD software
    Conduct site investigations and condition assessments
    Complete review of safe work practices and perform risk assessments
    Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including engineers, planners, environmental scientists, engineering technologists and administrative support staff
    Contribute to the preparation of estimates and project proposals
    Contribute to the leadership and growth of the Transportation group
    Contribute to the development of public and private sector client relationships and new business opportunities
    Travel to client locations and/or other Dillon offices for the purposes of executing your responsibilities, internal client relationship development, project research and project delivery
    Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees
    A degree in civil or transportation engineering or a diploma in civil engineering technology
    ~ Licensed to practice as an engineer-in-training in the province of Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six months or registered as a civil engineering technologist in the province of Ontario or eligible to be registered within six months
    ~Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial engineering standards and regulatory requirements
    Knowledge of industry standards, specifications and good engineering practices
    Understand project design and implementation activities, including development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering and contract administration
    Proficient in the use of current AutoCAD software; working knowledge of Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer or InRoads software will be considered an asset
