    The Field Service Tech performs all trouble shooting and customer training on new and existing machines to customers' satisfaction. Puts new machines into service, which includes testing and demonstration of the new equipment at the customer's site. Repairs existing equipment at the customers site. Trouble shoots the machines and perform the necessary service, maintenance, and repairs to restore the equipment to proper operation.

    80+% travel to Canadian and foreign customers' locations for machine start up, troubleshooting and repair along with customer training.

    ~ Advises and trains customers on proper maintenance and operation of Nordco equipment.
    ~ Prepares weekly travel expense records and field reports as required.
    ~ High School diploma or equivalent along with a minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial or mobile heavy equipment mechanic.
    PLC and/or CanBus systems troubleshooting training strongly preferred
    General mechanical experience, extensive knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems including the ability to read schematics
    Technical Skills
    Requires mechanical aptitude
    Ability to read and interpret business documents, technical procedures, governmental regulations and professional journals.
    Ability to successfully work in an environment with diverse personalities and build strong customer relationships.
    Must have a Valid Drivers License
    French speaking preferred
    70 – 80% travel or foreign and domestic locations
    ~ Valid Drivers License and Passport Required

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

    Travel to remote job sites is required.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear.

    Compétences techniques

    Capacité à lire et à interpréter des documents commerciaux, des procédures techniques, des réglementations gouvernementales et des revues professionnelles.

    Capacité à travailler avec succès dans un environnement aux personnalités diverses et à établir de solides relations avec les clients.
