    Description

    The Major Gifts Officer role, reporting to Senior Director, Development is responsible for helping to attain the annual fundraising goals of the Kemp Care Network, with a particular focus on the personal solicitation program.

    Responsible for the acquisition, stewardship, cultivation and retention of major-level annual donors, the Major Gifts Officer acts as a relationship manager for supporters who give at the $10,000+ level.

    We compassionately serve the emotional, physical, and social needs of individuals living with a serious illness until the end of life.

    We support them, their bereaved, and our community through our residential, outreach, day programs, and bereavement programs.

    Our continued vision is to collaboratively lead, shape and deliver compassionate hospice palliative care to all members of our community.

    At the Kemp Care Network we value dignity and quality of life in delivering end-of-life planning and bereavement care with compassion, kindness, and respect.

    Implement account and moves management strategies to ensure donors are cultivated toward their full giving potential.
    Take on special projects related to development or more broadly for the organization as requested.

    University undergraduate degree in a related field and/or significant experience and employment performance that may be judged to be equivalent.

    ~Past success in building and maintaining relationships to achieve objectives, including stewarding donors and personally securing mid-level or major gifts.
    ~ Proven strategic thinking and planning abilities.
    ~ Effective project management with the ability to manage multiple priority projects over varying timelines.
    ~ Experience with CRM/databases, preferably Donor Perfect.
    ~ CFRE designation and/or post-graduate fundraising education considered an asset.
