- Compiles payroll data for an assigned portfolio and maintains records in accordance with payroll processes (Canadian payroll with the possibility of international payroll)
- Monitoring the bank account balances and liaise with Treasury to ensure sufficient funds are available for payroll processing needs
- Support year-end payroll activities by monitoring the timely completion of statutory filings and processing the required payments resulting from these activities
- Responsible for processing after pay activities (reporting and payments)
- Review and submission of Payroll & Benefit invoices for payment through Basware for Accounts Payable to process
- Initiation of wire payments and collaboration with Treasury for execution of payments
- Liaise with the Manager and Associate Director, Payroll, to evaluate ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll function
- Strong understanding of Canadian payroll requirements and relevant provincial tax and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills for dealing with all employees within the organization
- Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Working towards or holds the PCP Certification

The Analyst, Payroll, Compliance & Funding will contribute to the successful payroll delivery and ensure adherence to labor laws for an assigned business portfolio. This role will report to the Manager, Payroll within People Experience. The incumbent will support bi-weekly payroll processing for salary/hourly employees, assist with annual statutory payroll compliance, monitor the global payroll compliance, assist with payroll audits, and coordinate payroll funding with the Treasury teams.
