    Elia Grid International (EGI) is a global engineering consultancy company, part of Elia Group (Belgium) and Hertz (Germany), specialising in complex power system challenges.

    Our multidisciplinary team of experts offers strategic, technical, and regulatory advice in all fields related to power transmission, as well as a range of specialist solutions to a diverse and international client base in the power sector.

    Elia Grid International has offices in Belgium, Germany, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Malaysia, and Thailand.

    EGI wishes to reinforce its team working on Infrastructure in the context of deep integration of renewable energy sources, Energy and Balancing Market Integration.

    To achieve this, we are looking for an experienced Senior Principal – HVDC / Offshore Grids.

    You will be building relationships with industry players and collaborating directly with the C-Suite of utilities, Project Developers, System Operators, and Investment funds.

    Lead the development of Technical Specifications on Large HVDC and complex Offshore Grid Projects.
    # Take part in the early design and coordinate the Front-End Engineering and Design phase of such projects.
    # Oversee procurement and tendering activities and support the project Owners in various phases of their projects.
    # Drive and stimulate the development of HVDC and Offshore solutions proposed by EGI.
    # Lead a local team of subject matter experts based in North America and facilitate a smooth collaboration between the local and the global organization.
    # Support in daily business, resource planning, sales and operations planning, recruitment, and management of consultants/contractors.
    # Ensure that all project activities are carried out according to policies, quality standards, and financial targets.

    Be knowledgeable of the HVDC market in North America - years of professional experience in the HVDC field in leadership positions (Team Leader, Project Manager, Project Director, Chief Engineer or similar).

    Master's in Electrical Engineering or similar. Managing large and complex projects in a global team of experienced professionals and experts.

    Knowledge of strategy development, market & regulations, business transformation, offshore grid, interconnectors, digitalization or other topics related to the energy transition.

    Fluency in English is mandatory.

    Mobility and flexibility, willing to travel up to % of the time for international assignments depending on the business development needs.
