    Description

    We are a global leader in beverage alcohol with an outstanding collection of brands across spirits and beer, including Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Tanqueray, Captain Morgan, Cîroc, Baileys, Smirnoff, Bulleit, Ketel One and Don Julio.

    We have over 200 brands—old and new, large and small, global and local—sold in 180 countries.

    In this team the Business Performance Analyst uses depletions (sell out) data to discern insights and trends in the market for the purpose of driving business performance.

    Being proactive, the individual will demonstrate their experience in analytics and data visualization to explain business performance and call out potential opportunities or threats.

    Reports to the Senior Manager Growth Insights. need to be able to manage expectations of senior partners and key internal customers.

    Anticipates & finds opportunities or issues that potentially could add value or prevent the business from delivering business objectives.

    Receives guidance from and aligns priorities with Senior Manager Growth Insights.
    Complexity is high, with data available by individual outlet, by brand/sku, and on/off trade channels. Multiple data sources exist; Pro-actively provide analytical insights to explain business performance (Diageo & competitors) and identify opportunities and threats
    Distill large and often complex data sets into concise and easy to understand insights and recommendations
    Provide monthly depletion performance reports (Microsoft Excel, Power BI), commentary and insights to the business
    Participate in ad-hoc deep-dives on category/brand performance

    Conduct Advertising & Promotion (A&P) measurement & evaluations (M&E), including analysis and presentation of key findings and recommendations to partners.

    Other tasks as required, including ad-hoc depletions & share reports, pricing trackers, preparing Executive decks, data mining
    Minimum 2 years commercial analytics required, preferably in CPG or Beverage Alcohol
    Experience in developing reports in Power BI is required
    Working knowledge of MicroStrategy is an asset
    Experience analyzing syndicated data
    Experience dealing with multiple sources of data
    Insights curious and performance driven thinker
    Proven critical-thinking analytics and problem-solving skills to distill/interpret data, uncover the business implications & develop actionable insights
    Employ easy to understand data visualization
    Strong attention to detail and quality of work
    Strong English oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate points of view across levels and functions
