    We have an excellent career opportunity with our Ovation Underwriting team, located at our head office in Markham.

    Reporting to the Senior National Service Manager, as the Ovation HNW Underwriting Specialist, you are responsible for providing ongoing coaching and feedback for new and existing employees and maintaining a consistent availability for their referral requests.

    You will be responsible for tracking and identifying trends in referrals and file inquiries, and work with the Development & Operational Lead to build out additional training and support documents.

    You will be responsible for completing monthly quality spot checks and recording results in compliance with our Risk & Control processes.

    You will also collaborate with Corporate Underwriting and the Development & Operational Lead to build job aids/support documents as the need arises and assist with monthly and bi-weekly calibration sessions.

    The Ovation HNW Underwriting Specialist will also be assisting with ad-hoc projects as required to support the business and the team.

    Work in partnership with Development & Operational Lead to design and develop role specific training unique to Ovation and HNW

    Complete monthly Quality Assurance spot checks for calls and offline work, and provide reports to the Leadership team


    Subject Matter Expert for HNW and able to resolve technical and complex underwriting issues using Broker Portal, including the use of The General to solve system related issues in collaboration with The General Team.


    Responsible and are expected to continuously update soft skills through identified e-learn courses and product/industry knowledge through CIP or other related industry accreditations.

    10+ years' experience in insurance and min 5+ years in the High-Net-Worth space

    Collaborative and able to draw upon the collective strengths of others

    Ability to identify gaps in skills and trends using data-based applications
