- Identify market opportunities, industry trends and customer targets through competitive analysis, positioning, and marketing strategy assessments.
- Leverage and align the expertise of key cross-functional stakeholders to deliver insights and solutions geared to patient and physician needs.
- Design, and execute marketing research needs to generate insights that can drive the strategic plan.
- Develop focused strategic and tactical plans for the brands, including monitoring goals, with specific understanding of the specialty care markets.
- Communicate strategic and tactical plans to the US, Canadian senior management and the sales team.
- Lead the development of promotional materials, programs, and training initiatives.
- Proactively track critical elements of brand performance.
- Spend time in the field with sales representatives to gain insights from physicians and inform the brand plans.
- Determine effective marketing communication channels to raise awareness of the company's products and develop effective tactics to achieve Marketing goals.
- Partner with finance team to ensure timely use of financial resources related to brand tasks.
- Lead regular cross-functional Brand Team meetings.
- Spend time in the field with sales representatives to gain insights from physicians and inform the brand plans.
- Working with Medical team to design educational programming.
- Work together with other functions, develop and implement a best-in-class commercial development plan for company's products
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in business or health sciences is an asset
- 3+ years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is required.
- 4+ years' progressive marketing experience; experience in GI or Hepatology is an asset.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical legal, regulatory, and medical processes required.
- High level cross functional collaboration skills.
- Strong team-building skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
